Chistley Jenkins KINGSLAND- Chistley Jenkins, 81, of Kingsland, passed away December 18, 2012. He was born to Retus and Lela (Podgett) Jenkins on January 13, 1931 in Tahoka, Texas. Mr. Jenkins proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge he worked in the natural gas field. He moved to Highland Haven and served on the city council. In his spare time he enjoyed arts and crafts, woodworking, fishing, boating and especially traveling with his R.V. Chistley is survived by children, Ronald Craig Jenkins of Wortham, Texas, Darla Gail Simpson of Lubbock, Texas, and Brent Lee Jenkins of Kingsland, Texas; grandchildren, Robert Sterling Simpson, Spencer Cade Simpson, Andrew Craig Jenkins and Abigail Rose Jenkins; and brothers, Jessie Ray, Robert and Dan Riley Jenkins; sister Irene Kinemer; and the mother of his children, Bobby Joy Jenkins of Lubbock, Texas. Graveside services will be held at the Wolf Crossing Cemetery Highway 1431 at Highland Haven, Texas on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. Rev. Garry Syperda officiating.
