Louise Snider LUBBOCK- Bertha Louise Snider of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the age of 93. She was born October 27, 1919 in Chickasaw County, Mississippi to Hermon and Josie Mae Fleming. She worked for Texas Tech University in the athletic department. Louise was devoted to her family and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Bertha married James Frank Springer, who preceded her in death after 35 years of marriage. She later married John Snider, who preceded her in death in 2004 after 27 years of marriage. Louise was also preceded in death by one son, Sam Springer and two brothers. Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Jeanette Willis and husband George, Melba Jones, and Gayle Reynolds, all of Lubbock; one son, James Springer and wife Sharon of Littlefield; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012 in Combest Family Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.
