David Lee Fletcher LUBBOCK-Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of David Lee Fletcher at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers with the Rev. Bruce Green officiating. Our beloved father and friend went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012. He was born on Aug. 1, 1956, to the late Truitt and Cora (Gilbert) Fletcher in Plainview. He graduated from Plainview High School. David earned a bachelor's degree from North Texas State and a master's degree from Texas Tech University. He worked for LISD as an educational diagnostician in special education. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Plainview. David loved music and played the guitar. He also enjoyed pheasant hunting and fishing. David was a loving father and friend. He is survived by a son, Thomas David Fletcher of Lubbock, and a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Fletcher of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Rebecca Hilliard of Plainview; a brother, Michael Fletcher of Oak Hill, Va.; a nephew, Michael Cognasi, and a niece, Jennifer Harmon; along with many other family members.
