Robbie Degraffenreid LUBBOCK-Robbie Lou Sexton Degraffenreid, 73, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life Monday, Dec. 24, at 10 a.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. A tribute to Robbie may be found at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for her family. Robbie Lou was born on Feb. 14, 1939, to Herman M. and Geneva Thigpen Hodges in Spur, Texas. She graduated from Dawson High School, where she played basketball and was a twirler in the marching band. After graduation, she attended Draughon's beauty school and practiced cosmetology for many years. In recent years, she was a caregiver to many elderly who became dear friends. She enjoyed spending time working in the yard, fishing at the lake, family cookouts, and her lifelong hobby, bowling. She is survived by her loving husband, Floyd; daughters, Pennie McWhorter and husband Ken, and Carol Meriwether and husband Paul; son, Jimmy Sexton; and their father, Maurice Sexton. She will be remembered fondly by her grandchildren, Jenni Rogers and her husband David, Tyler Page and his wife Jeni, Jarod Page, Kate and Matt Meriwether, and Jensen, Addisen and Keelen Sexton, and her niece, Dana Woods and her husband Mark, and their children, Clayton and James. Robbie is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Peyton and Tripp Rogers and Breylon Page.
