Clifford Joseph Breaud LUBBOCK-Clifford Joseph Breaud, 90, passed away Dec. 23, 2012. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Clifford was born in Gramercy, La., on Sept. 22, 1922, to Robert and Alice Breaud. He joined the Air Crop and attended flying School at Ellington Field. Later he was stationed at Lubbock SPAAF. At the end of the war, he retired to the USAF Reserves as a Lt. Colonel. While stationed in Lubbock, he met and married Moguyneta Moggie Thompson on Jan. 10, 1946. He enrolled in pre-dental courses at Texas Tech, and later moved to New Orleans and enrolled in the Loyola Dental School with later training in orthodontics. He moved back to Lubbock to practice orthodontics. He has held offices in several dental associations. Clifford enjoyed civic work and served on the Chamber of Commerce Aviation Committee and the Maid of Cotton Committee for the Chamber. He serviced on the Lubbock county Society for Crippled Children as director and president, and was also chairman for the Citizens Traffic Council and chairman of the Airport Board. Clifford was a director and president of Southwest Little League. He served as president, director, and district governor for the Lubbock Rotary Club. He was currently serving on the board of the South Plains Food Bank. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Breaud; two brothers, Larry Breaud and Robert Breaud; and one sister, Pearl Braud. Survivors include his wife; son, Stephen Breaud and wife Dianne of Lubbock; two sisters, Thelma Bailey and husband Bill of Baton Rouge, La., and Kathleen Deroche and husband Donald of Gramercy, La.; two brothers, Huey Breaud and wife Mary of Laplace, La., and Alfred Breaud and wife Dolly of Manheim, Pa.; sister-in-law, Eunice Breaud of Arlington, Texas; and many, many nieces and nephews.
