Bill Van Davis LUBBOCK-Bill Davis, 64, of Lubbock passed away Jan. 6, 2013, at his home. He was born March 30, 1948, in Midland, Texas, to the late Bill and Mary Davis. Bill graduated Coronado High School and attended Sul Ross University and Midland College. Bill married Frances Jean Conner on April 18, 1969, in Midland. He served in the US Navy from 1970 until 1975. After his service, Bill was involved in the oil and ag industries. Survivors include his wife, Frances of Lubbock; son, Jim Ed Davis and wife Kristi of Plainview; daughter, Amy Leigh Davis of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Avary Davis, and Taylor and Alex Fairweather; sister, Debbie Smith and husband Jim of San Angelo; and brother, Ben Davis and wife Alice of San Angelo. Services to celebrate Bill's life will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in Sanders Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Chad Cook officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
