Jeffrey Wellman Phillips LUBBOCK-Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Jeffrey Phillips, 50, of Lubbock at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Our beloved Jeffrey died Jan. 2, 2013. Jeffrey was born on Nov. 24, 1962, to Gary and Cynthia (Wellman) Phillips in Jamestown, N.Y. He graduated from Great Valley High School in Malvern, Pa., and received an associate's degree and certification in computer document imaging. Jeffrey worked as a certified document imaging associate. He married Anna Margaret Starnes on April 20, 1991, in Carmel, Calif. Jeffrey, Anna and their two children resided in Pottstown, Pa., until they moved to Lubbock, Texas, in 2008. Jeffrey enjoyed fishing, travelling, and was an avid sports fan. He loved dogs, especially his Heidi, Gracie and Bosley. The greatest fulfillment in his life came from his children, family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Anna; son, Samuel Phillips; daughter, Hannah Phillips; his parents, Gary and Cynthia of Florida; two brothers, Gary Phillips Jr. and wife Beth of Illinois, and Steve Phillips of Pa.; a sister, Genny Owsiany and husband Kevin of Pa.; sister and brother-in-law, Melinda and Doug Davis; his mother-in-law, Carolyn Starnes, all of Texas; and seven nieces and nephews, Brianna Phillips, Justin Phillips, Courtney Phillips, Joshua Owsiany, Andrew Owsiany, Jacob Burkholder and Daniel Burkholder. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a College Memorial Fund for Samuel and Hannah, in honor of Jeffrey.
