Allene Loggins LUBBOCK- Allene Loggins, 88, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on January 5, 2013. Allene was born on December 6, 1925 in Falls County, Texas to the parentage of the late Reuben Jesse Carter Loggins and Rachel Edwards Loggins. She was the second child born of nine children. Allene attended school in Reagan, Texas until her family relocated to Lubbock in 1942. She was a faithful member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board for many years. Upon moving her membership to New Zion Baptist Church she also served as an usher for decades until her health began to decline. Allene was preceded in death by three brothers, James Loggins, Sr., Willie Loggins and, Reuben Loggins, Jr.; one sister, Anne Loggins. She leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her passing three brothers, Raymond Eli Loggins (Bobbie), Walter Charles Loggins (Thelma), and Edward Allen Loggins (Ethel); one sister, Middie Lee Bradley; along with many nieces, nephews and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. at New Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held today from 1 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
