Raymond Bogus LUBBOCK- Raymond Bogus, 60, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on February 14, 2013. Raymond was born on March 18, 1953 to the parentage of Mildred Bogus and the late Columbus Bogus. Raymond attended Lubbock Public School and graduated with honors from Dunbar High School. After high school, Raymond attended Langston University and graduated Cum Laude. Following graduation, he was hired by the Texas State Comptroller and worked as a tax assessor and collector. He was transferred to Austin where he lived for several years. After he moved back home to Lubbock, he worked as a substitute teacher. He leaves to celebrate his memories his mother, Mildred Bogus; his brother, Paul Hereford; his sister, Carolyn Isaac; two nieces, Alicia Isaac and Phylicia Williams; one great-nephew; two-great nieces; his oldest friend, Clarence Ervin; and aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Community Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held today from 1 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
