Marian Craddock LUBBOCK-Mrs. Marian Craddock, 90, of Lubbock, and former longtime resident of Colorado City, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, in a Lubbock hospice facility. Services will be at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 20, at First United Methodist Church with Jess Peterson and Dr. Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Colorado City Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home. Mrs. Craddock was born Nov. 13, 1922, in Carbon, Texas, to Hubbard and Bernice Stubblefield Gilbert and had lived in Colorado City since 1945. She married J.S. Jay Craddock Jr. on Aug. 21, 1943, in Denton, Texas. He preceded her in death April 27, 1999. She was a homemaking teacher in the Colorado ISD for many years. She was also active in the Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, and American Society Chamber of Commerce. She was also an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Colorado City. She is survived by two daughters, Roberta and husband Garry Grau, and Dana Bear, all of Lubbock; two grandsons, Michael Grau, and Reagan and wife Natasha Grau; and great-grandson, Gus Grau.
