Clifford Floyd Goldwater LUBBOCK-Services for Clifford Floyd Goldwater, 95, of Lubbock will be held on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. in Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jim Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home. Clifford was born Feb. 5, 1918, in Atlee, Okla., to Della Blanche Reynolds and Cornelius Frank Floyd. She departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, to begin her new life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Clifford, an outstanding student, graduated from Shallowater High School in 1936. She met the love of her life, Ralph L. Goldwater, and on Feb. 5, 1937, they were united in marriage in Clovis, N.M. She was a loving, devoted mother and grandmother, and a most talented seamstress and cook. She will also be remembered for her kind, gentle spirit and her positive outlook toward all things in life. She loved her church and was a dedicated member of Monterey Baptist Church. Clifford was preceded in death by her parents; her six siblings; and her husband. Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Kay Phelps; her husband, Mike; and her only grandchild, Greg, who was the light of her life. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. There will be a family visitation at the funeral home today, Feb. 24, 2013, from 3 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Monterey Baptist Church Building Fund, 3601 50th Street, Lubbock, TX 79413.
