Michael Darwin McCasland LUBBOCK-Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Michael McCasland at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the First Baptist Church, Morton. Our beloved Mike went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 24, 2013. Michael was born on Aug. 15, 1952, to Burl and Louise (Stalcup) McCasland in Levelland. He graduated from Morton High School. Mike served in the US Air Force in Vietnam. He worked as a supervisor for Monsanto Corp. in the Houston area. After retiring from Monsanto Corp., Mike moved back to Morton and took over the family business, L&B Supply, Inc. Mike was an avid aviator and enjoyed farming. He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise McCasland. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Casey McCasland and wife Amy of Lubbock; two daughters, Kayla Burroughs and husband Sam of Manvel, Texas, and Kari Eddins; two grandsons, Michael and Jimmy McCasland; his father, Burl McCasland of Morton; a sister, Ginger Carter and husband Bud of Lubbock; and a brother, Brian McCasland of Morton.
