Bessie Becky Sasser LUBBOCK- Our beautiful loving mother, wife and grandmother, Becky Irma Sasser, of Portales, N.M. passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 at the age of 74. She was born Nov. 18, 1938 in Mt. Airy, N.C. to William and Irma (Nisten) Whitaker. She married Marlin Sasser on Aug. 10, 1954 in Mt. Airy. Becky was a fun and loving mother and grandmother to her family. She loved her family first, and then horseracing and playing the lotto. She was always hoping to win lots of money so she could give it to her children and grandchildren. We will all miss her loving smile and warm heart. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Marlin; daughter, Becky Brown and husband Billy of Smyer; two sons, Don Sasser and wife Becky of Colorado City and Dan Sasser and wife Marcy of Abilene; five grandchildren, Blaine Sasser of Albany, Amanda Sasser of Abilene, Jacob Brown and Jessica Brown of Smyer, and Kimberly Sanford of Colorado City; and three great-grandchildren. Becky was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wade and Dennis Whitaker. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
