Paul Fulton Campbell LUBBOCK-Paul Fulton Campbell passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 87 years on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Services will be at 10 a.m. Sat., Sept. 14, 2013, in Lake Ridge Chapel with burial following in the City of Lubbock Cemetery. A tribute of Paul may be found at, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for his family. Paul was born to the late B. Frank and I.V. (McCutcheon) Campbell on July 20, 1926, in Roby, Texas. He moved to Lubbock in the 1940s and graduated from Lubbock High School. Paul joined the US Navy in 1944 before graduating from high school, and after being discharged he finished high school and attended Texas Tech University. He married the love of his life, LaJuan White Gryder on June 26, 1973, in Lubbock, Texas. Paul was a builder and remodeled private and commercial real estate, which included the Country Inn Motel and Simpatico Apts. Paul and LaJuan also operated Lubbock Rental and Gryder Enterprises. He was a member of Trinity Church and hosted a Bible study group in his home every Friday night for many years. Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by all of his siblings. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, LaJuan; five children, Pat Williams and husband Randy of Hereford, Roger Buck and wife Wendy of Waco, Teresa Edwards and husband Brian of Lubbock, Dr. Kathy Cubine and husband Sam of San Angelo, and Julie Kabel and husband David of Plano; eight grandchildren, Ryan Williams and wife Brandi, Daniel Edwards, and Morgan Hall and husband Brent, Coco Cubine, Kendal Cubine, and Kacey Cubine-Paul and husband John Travis, Lauren Kabel and Katheryn Kabel; three great-grandchildren, Devin Williams, Rylin Williams and Johnny Rocket Cubine. Memorial contributions are welcome and the family suggests them to Odyssey Hospice or Trinity Church.
