Robert Craig McCollum KERRVILLE-Robert Craig McCollum, 64, of Ingram passed from this life Oct. 1, 2013, at his residence. He was born on April 7, 1949, in Childress to Jenny (Bounds) and John McCollum. Robert graduated from Coronado High School in 1967, and attended Texas Tech, playing the saxophone in the Going Band from Raiderland. He served in the US Marine Corp during Vietnam (1968-1982). Robert worked in the furniture sales business as a manager for many years. He enjoyed spending time doing woodworking and playing/writing music. He was preceded in death by his father, John W. McCollum. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Sharon McCollum of Ingram; mother, Jenny Lee Davidson and husband Neville; son, Philip McCollum and wife Meredith of Los Angeles, Calif.; daughter, Summer Castle and husband Lee of Amsterdam, Netherlands; sister, Cecile Leigh Ropas and husband John of Lubbock; brothers, John B. McCollum of Dallas, Russell W. McCollum and wife Mitzi of New Braunfels, and Richard P. McCollum and wife Elizabeth of San Antonio. Robert has six grandchildren along with many other family members and friends, all whom will miss him greatly. Memorial service will be held at 2:45 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. All arrangements are under the care and direction of Wrights Funeral Parlor, Kerrville.
