SLATON-Services for Ronnie Joe Nolte, 71, of Wilson will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, in Wilson's St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. David Rohde officiating. Burial will follow in Green Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
There will be a family visitation at the funeral home Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Ronnie was born March 17, 1942, in Slaton to Felix and Edna Nolte. He passed from this life after a lengthy illness on Nov. 13, 2013.
He was a lifelong resident of Wilson, where he was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church on March 22, 1942. He attended school at St. Paul's school and graduated from Wilson High School in 1960. Ronnie served in the Marine Corps Reserves.
On Jan. 19, 1962, Ronnie married Glenda Maxine Ayers.
He was a retired cotton farmer in the Wilson area and crop insurance adjuster for Pro Ag.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Nolte, on Dec. 29, 1996.
His survivors include his wife, Maxine of Wilson; sons, Robert Nolte and wife Cynthia of Lubbock, and Richard Nolte and wife Mary of Woodward, Okla.; sister, Katherine Wentland of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and brother, Roy of Troop, Texas, along with grandchildren, Alexandra and Peter Nolte, both of Lubbock.
