Karolyn Sue Hayes LUBBOCK- Services for Karolyn Sue Hayes, 72, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 in Sanders Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today, Nov. 19, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of Sanders Funeral Home. Heaven gained a wonderful, beautiful angel on November 17, 2013 when Karolyn went to be with her Savior. Karolyn Sue Potts was born on Oct. 27, 1941 in Lubbock, Texas to T.W. and Burma Burleson Potts. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended Hardin Simmons University. She married Terry E. Hayes on Aug. 19, 1961 in Lubbock. She and her husband owned and operated the Ceramic Barn until 2001. She was a member of Roosevelt Baptist Church. Loved ones include her husband of 52 years, Terry; son, Michael Hayes and wife Stephanie; daughter, Teri Jo Gilmore and husband, Kerry; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tommy Potts. Memorials are suggested to Interim Hospice or the UMC Foundation. A giver above all, her influence, kindness, and love have touched the lives of all blessed with encountering her beautiful spirit. A loving wife, mother, and MiMi, the streets of heaven are forever brighter.
