Eugene Pringle Obituary

Eugene Pringle LUBBOCK-Eugene Pringle, 85, of Lubbock passed away March 31, 2014, after a short illness. Visitation will be held Friday, April 4, 2014, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014, at King's Ridge Church of Christ at 10 a.m. with Dee Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Eugene was born in Ft. Worth, Texas, on Dec. 31, 1928. He married Mona Weaver on June 2, 1950, and they were happily married for 63 years. He lived in Ft. Worth, Texas, until 1959 when he moved his family to Lubbock. He worked for Renfrow Hard Chrome Plating Co. and retired after 38 years. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. He served as an Elder for 33 years at 62nd and Indiana Church of Christ and King's Ridge Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Mona; five children, Richard and Virginia Pringle, Teresa Hare, Kevin and Misty Pringle, Rhonda and David Slusher, and Kayla and Paul Gibson. He was blessed with 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two nephews; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy Jones. I have wonderful memories of my Uncle. Whenever him and Mona would come to my mom's house, Dorothy Jones, it was always nice to visit. He was good a Christian man. He will be missed. His pain is gone and in Heaven with the Father. Prayers for Mona and the whole family.

Mr. Pringle was a great christian example for me in my youth. I spent my younger yrs attending church at 62nd and Indiana Church of Christ in Lubbock where he was an elder. What a great Christan man he was and what a great Christan family he led. The world has lost a good man but heaven is a better place now I'm sure.

Eugene was one of the finest men I have ever known; It was a pleasure to have him looking after my soul; I served as a deacon while he was a elder at 62nd and Indiana; Our families grew up together; He made a big difference.
