Wesley, as he was called during his school years, was a kind and gentle man who was head over heels in love with his wife and extremely proud of his sons. After 30 or so years of being out of touch, he and I had an opportunity to "catch up" somewhat a few years back. He filled me in on how devoted he had been to his wife, how she was the best thing that ever happened to him and how he had "married up", as he said. The only thing better than his marriage must have been the two results of his marriage, his wonderful sons. His eyes filled with pride and maybe a tear as he described each and told me about how much they meant to him. If ever there was a happy reunion in heaven, it must have been when Wesley and Kay met in Paradise.
Poland family, Wesley was a good friend. And I am glad that he could join his beloved - I'll bet he is playing his guitar for her right now. God bless him, Kay, and all of you and help you with your healing.
