Graveside services for Arlin R. Barge, 80, of Conroe, were held Saturday at Zavalla Cemetery. Mr. Barge was born Dec. 12, 1934, and died July 17, 2015, in Houston. McNutt Funeral Home, Conroe, directors.

Beck, Jo Marie Nerren - Georgetown  
Born into a world of music in Lufkin, Texas on November 16, 1925, Jo Marie Nerren Beck would follow this love all her life. She played the piano and the organ in churches in Homer, Houston, Midland, and recently in Georgetown. She left to bring her music to a place of peace August 19, 2015. She married H.V. Beck Jr. and was his beloved for over sixty years. Their three children, Becky Beck Browning, Glenn Edward Beck and Larry Eugene Beck, with special recognition to their spouses Douglas Browning, Susan Beck, and Reta Beck who continue the music of her life in their hearts. Celebrating her life are members of the family including, her brother, Joe C. Nerren Jr., an extraordinary musician, eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the members of the staff and the many friends of the Wesleyan, including those at Scenic, Estrella, and Hospice in Georgetown. They also want to thank LaVonne Searle for her devoted and loving care, and Murray Mitchell for his devotion and kindness to her. A family memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 30 at Scenic Chapel conducted by Dean Hamilton, and a celebration of her life for friends and family will be held at 3 p.m. at Estrella, 139 Estrella Crossing, Georgetown. Belk, James Norman - Nacogdoches  
James Norman Belk was born March 7, 1938, to J.F. and Artie Belk in Cushing, Texas. He lived there until he drew his last breath and walked home on Friday, August 21, 2015. He graduated from Cushing High School in 1956 and attended business college and Stephen F. Austin State University for a short time before serving in the U.S. Army for two years which included a tour of duty in Berlin, Germany, guarding the wall between East and West Germany. He was a member of the Cushing Lions Club, a member of the Cushing ISD Board of Trustees, and a member of the Cushing Volunteer Ambulance and Fire Department. He was an avid outdoorsman and passed his love for hunting and fishing along to many. Another favorite past time was walking and jogging the Lanana Creek Trail. Mr. Belk was also a member of the McKnight Congregational Methodist Church, and his faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ enabled him to live out his remaining years with gratitude after our beloved oak tree shattered our world and his body. He loved his family and fought valiantly many times to be able to see them one more time. He adored them, and they loved him unconditionally. He was preceded in death by his parents and Godparents Bug and Loucile Johnson. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Deanna and Dani Egan of Cushing, Texas, son Brian Belk of Cushing, Texas, grandsons Daric and Dedan Egan of Cushing, Texas, brother and sister-in-law Joe and Marie Belk of Huntington, Texas, niece Denise Fredericks and husband Bob of Cushing, Texas, nephew Craig Belk and wife Kim of Houston, Texas, and a whole host of great nephews and nieces. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Monday, August 24. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Dickie Allen Funeral Home with Graveside services immediately following at Cushing Cemetery.

Britt, Pauline Wolf - Lufkin  
Services for Pauline Wolf Britt, 89, of Lufkin, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015 in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Chris Branham of Austin and Chaplain Alex Montilla of Lufkin officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Britt was born July 20, 1926 in Crockett, Texas, the daughter of Miller and Nora Wolf. She went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. She was a homemaker and loved her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook for family and friends. She enjoyed playing Bingo and dominoes. She was a very devoted Christian and loved the Lord. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Dian and Jerry Brock of Lufkin; daughter-in-law, Betty Frizzell of Crockett; six grandchildren, Melissa Robertson and husband Royce, J.J. Brock and wife Judy, Carla Harding and husband Greg, Patricia Hardy and husband Mike, Philip Frizzell and wife Bobbie Joe, and Deidra Taylor and husband Rodney; eleven great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Doris Wolf; sister, Leona Gilliand; special friends, Clifton Loggins and Marilyn Taylor; close friends, A.D. and JoAnn Melder; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Britt was preceded in death by her husband, Gallen Britt; son, Billy Frizzell; brothers, J.W. Wolf, Buck Wolf, Wilse Wolf and Therman Wolf; and sister, Opal Osborn. Pallbearers will be Clifton Loggins, Philip Frizzell, Hunter Haltmar, Devin Brock, Mike Hardy and Royce Robertson. Honorary pallbearers will be J.J. Brock, Jimmy Wolf, Jerry Wolf, Bobby Ross, Greg Harding, Rick Kapsos, Wayne Hollevoet, John Groot, Shelby Wolf, Mark Wolf, Lynn Branham and Jerry Brock. Pauline's family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, aides and staff at Larkspur Transitional Care in Lufkin and Hospice in the Pines for their loving care for her. Memorial contributions in Pauline's memory may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, TX 75904 or at . Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1 p.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Services are in the care of Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home.
