Curtis Crain, 72, passed away June 4, 2013 at a hospital in California. He was the son of the late Charles and Georgia (Brown) Crain. He was born April 1, 1941 in Lufkin. He served four years in the U.S. Navy
and was a painting contractor. Survivors include daughter, LaWanda Jaromule of California; son, Jeff, of Houston; grandson, Brandon Gullen of California; also his two dogs Mandy and Missy. He called them his little girls. Other survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Ida Crain of Arkansas; Jearld and Terri Crain of California; sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma and J.W. Smith of Lufkin, Sandra and Ed Williams of Louisiana; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kenneth Crain of Huntington; sisters, Velma Jordan of Lufkin and Sarah Barnes of Hudson. A family memorial service will be held at a later time.
