Funeral services for Glennis Dominey, 91, of Huntington will be held Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 3 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Vic Bass and Brother Carl Ray Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Ben Walker Cemetery. Mrs. Dominey was born October 10, 1920 in the Shawnee Prairie Community, Angelina County, Texas to the late Effie Jodie (Walker) and Blumer Washington Horton, and died Friday, October 28, 2011 in San Augustine. She had resided in Huntington most of her life and owned The Treasure Chest Gift Shop for many years. Mrs. Dominey was a member of the Lala Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Alvin Glenn and Joyce Dominey of Woodville, James Otho and Yealonda Dominey of Trinity and Roger Dale Dominey of Huntington; daughters-in-law, Gwendolyn Turner of San Augustine, Margie Harris of Huntington and Donna Guillory of Kerrville; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Havard of Huntington, Jodie Daniel of Lufkin, Yvonne Marshall of Huntington and Sue McClure of Lufkin; brothers, Lindburgh Horton of Huntington and Burl Horton of Woden; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dominey was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Dominey; sons, Phillip Anthony Ã¬AndyÃ® Dominey and Jerry Lynn Dominey; and stepson, Wayne Dominey. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Dominey's grandsons. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
