Funeral services for Ivy Joe Davis, 66, of Zavalla will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Jackson Colwell and Brother Tommy Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Tom Havard Cemetery. Mr. Davis was born March 17, 1946 in San Augustine, Texas to the late George Malone and Maudie Margaret (Forse) Davis, and died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at his residence. A former resident of Vidor, Mr. Davis had resided in Zavalla since 2006. He was a welder with the Pipe Fitters Local #195. Mr. Davis was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to fish, hunt, and get together with his friends and family to write songs, sing and play music. Survivors include his wife, Kay Davis of Zavalla; sons and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Danielle Davis and Matthew Fuller, all of Zavalla; daughter and son-in-law, Tabitha and Bobby Witt of Vidor; grandchildren, Dillian Eaves, Blake Eaves, Destany Eaves, all of Vidor, Lilly Fuller, Hadyn Fuller, both of Indiana, Timmy Billingsley of New York, Justin Davis and Jaci Davis, both of Zavalla; great-grandson, Wyatt Billingsley of New York; brothers and sisters-in-law, Maxie and Ludie Davis of Silsbee, Jessie and Minnie Davis of Church Hill, Tennessee, Floyd and Rose Davis, and Charlie and Susan Davis, all of San Augustine; sister and brother-in-law, Maudene and Bill Jacobs of San Augustine; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his brothers, George Davis and Leonard Davis. Pallbearers will be Mike Rushing, Joey Hock, Daniel Davis, Shannon Davis, Joey Davis, Charlie Davis, Jr., Bobby Witt and Robert Carlton.
