Maureen Havard, 50, of Lufkin, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013 in a Lufkin hospice facility. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday evening, January 16, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Mrs. Havard was born in Phoenix, Arizona on March 25, 1962 to the late Dorothy (Booth) and John V. Harrington. She was a nurse practitioner for Dr. Haynesâ€™ office, and had lived in Lufkin most of her life. Mrs. Havard attended Harmony Hill Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, and loved praise and worship music. She loved to laugh, and made friends wherever she went. Mrs. Havard was a huge fan of the band, The Eagles. Survivors include her husband, Steven Havard of Lufkin; her children and their spouses, Heather and Lance Allred of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jack and Sarah Stephenson of Sinton, and Melanie and Jonathan Fleury of Knoxville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Abby Stephenson of Sinton, Jackson Allred and Addison Fleury, both of Knoxville; six sisters, Phyllis, Dottie, Dee Dee, Jan, Joanne and Colleen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John D. Harrington; and sister, Joan Marie Harrington. It is the familyâ€™s request, in lieu of flowers, that you plant a flower in Maureenâ€™s memory. ROLL TIDE!!
