Otis H. Thompson, Jr., (Woody) 64, of Killeen, Texas died January 11, 2013 at home after a prolonged illness. He was born in Orange, Texas to Otis and Laura Thompson. Services with Military Honors will be held at 1 p.m. January 24th, 2013 at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1987 and retired as a MSgt. He also served two tours in Vietnam. He is preceded in death by his son Otis H. Thompson, III and his parents Otis and Laura Thompson. Otis Thompson is survived by his wife Jackie Thompson of 32 years, and their children FredRick Thompson of Central, Peggy Robles of Virginia Beach, Va., Jonathan Thompson Joint Base Lewis McChord, Wa. and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Kayren Lewis of Tatum, Eddy Thompson of Lufkin, Steve Thompson of Houston, Felicia Pulaski of Brownwood and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Otis had a love for the outdoors, especially when it came to hunting and fishing. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Providence Hospice. Their dedication and effort to provide quality care was a heart warming blessing to the family. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him.
