Roxanne Lynn Herrington

Roxanne (Roddy) Lynn Herrington, 45, of Huntington, was born September 6, 1964 in Lufkin, Texas. She passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 in a local hospital. Roxanne was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved doing anything that involved her kids, grandkids, and family. She enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, boating/camping, fishing, swimming and being outdoors. She also enjoyed going to rodeos and loved all animals. She is survived by her husband, Andy Herrington of Huntington; son, Kenneth W. Westrope, Jr. and wife Maggie; daughter, Cheyenne Westrope; son, Jacy Maher and daughter, Amanda Sanders, all of Hazlehurst, MS; stepson, Carl Herrington, Jr. of Lufkin and Chris Herrington of Huntington; stepdaughters, Misty Herrington of Huntington and Brandi Purswell of San Antonio; brother, Terry Beasley and wife Kathy; sister, Sherry Jenkins; mother, Charlotte Melton; stepfather, Ray Melton, all of Jacksonville, TX; 10 grandchildren; uncle, Red Beasley; aunt, Margie Jennings; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members. Roxanne was preceded in death by her father, R.V. Beasley; grandmother, Lella Beasley; and grandfathers, Thomas Beasley and Ervin Shofner. Pallbearers will be Butch Parrish, Tony Jennings, Ronny Jennings, Roy Dale Payne, James Smith and Bud Sallas. Services for Roxanne will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Charles Herrington officiating. Interment will follow in the Herrington Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home.
