Funeral services for Ivy J. Collins III, 46, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church with Sr. Pastor D. Nick Sholars officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow in Berry Cemetery under the auspices of Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669, A.F. & A.M. Mr. Collins was born November 8, 1967 in Lufkin, Texas, and died Monday, August 25, 2014 in Huntington, Texas. Mr. Collins traveled extensively throughout the world with his job as a field service technician for Philadelphia Gear and Lufkin Industries. Mr. Collins served his country in the United States Marine Corps, and was a member of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669, A.F. & A.M. He loved to play golf and fish, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Berry Collins of Lufkin; daughter, Emily Collins of Lufkin; father, Ivy Collins, Jr. of Huntington; sisters and brother-in-law, Becky and Spencer Booth of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and Toni Collins-Macias of Mount Vernon; mother-in-law, Lynn Berry of Lufkin; father-in-law, Joe Berry of Lufkin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jason and Stephanie Berry of Lufkin; as well as numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Collins; brother, Kenny Collins; and grandparents, Ivy, Sr., and Elizabeth Collins. Pallbearers will be Masons.
