Graveside services for Louise Pickett, 84, of Alto, will be Sunday, December 5th at 2 p.m. in the King Cemetery in Mt. Enterprise, under the direction of O.T. Allen and Son Funeral Directors. Mrs. Pickett died Friday in Alto. She was born March 25, 1926 in Corrigan, to Lenard H. and Carrie Lowe Birdwell. She lived most of her young life in the Hudson Community and moved to Alto in 1964. She was a homemaker and a member of the Alto Church of Christ. She was also known as one of the sweetest people you would ever meet. She is preceded in death by her husband, Otto Pickett and brother, Leon Birdwell. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Deloris and David Quine of Lufkin, Patsy Pickett of Alto, Barbara and Virgil Mettlen of Wells; sister, Jean Stuart of Moss Point; grandchildren, Tony, Rita, Beverly, Carrie, Melanie, Kevin, Keith and Kristopher; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Richie, Jessica, Teresa, Swede, Briann, Charles, Kolton, Kade, Shaun, Kimberly, Chelsey, Payton, Courtney; great-great-granddaughter, Aaliyah. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 4th from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral Home in Alto. The family request memorials be made to the Alto Volunteer Fire Department. O.T. Allen and Son Funeral Home, Alto, directors.
