Services for Grace Hambrick, 97, of Diboll, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Cindy Doran officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Hambrick, the daughter of the late Kizzy Mitilda (Sexton) and William Riley Yates, was born May 22, 1915 in Johnson County, Arkansas. She passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in a Diboll nursing facility. Mrs. Hambrick was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and quilting. She worked hard her whole life. Survivors include her son, Charles Ray Hambrick of Phoenix City, Alabama; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Glenn and Theresia Hambrick of Diboll; grandchildren, Pamela Alvarado, Glenn Ray Hambrick, Jessica Durant, DeAnna Nerren, Joseph Hambrick and Grady Hambrick; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hambrick; daughter-in-law, Sarah Hambrick; one sister and five brothers. Pallbearers will be Robert Smith, Joshua Hambrick, Joseph Hambrick, Caleb Nerren, Jacob Nerren, Devin Hawk and Justin Alvarado. Honorary pallbearer will be Andrew Hambrick and Joshua Hambrick. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered at www.gipsonfuneralhome.com.
