Memorial services for Irving Ray Berry, 70, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Weldon Blackman officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Mr. Berry was born April 22, 1943 in Lufkin, Texas to I.D. and Ruth (Ament) Berry, and died Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at his residence. He was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. Mr. Berry had worked in the shipping department at Southwest Color and as a butcher at Sam's. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on small engines, and playing with his grandkids. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Linda Lee Berry of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Tommie Jo 'T.J.' and Ken Yeates of Jasper, Leigh Ann and Richard Bass of Huntington, and Christina Lee and Robert Wellborn of Lovelady; son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Karli Arnold of Gladewater; grandchildren, Ashley Beddingfield and husband Damon, Amber Beard, all of Jasper, Amy Collier and husband Terry of Huntington, Brett Fletcher of Broaddus, Sarah Fletcher of Huntington, Colby Ray McKnight and wife Brianna of Marshall, Robby Wellborn and wife Lauren of Crosby, Amanda Phillips and husband Lance of Lovelady, Kristy Townsend and husband L.E. of Navasota, and Landon James Arnold of Gladewater; 10 great-grandchildren and two on the way; mother, Ruth Berry of Huntington; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty Ruth and James Fletcher, Martha Carole Berry, and Sherry Beth and Talmadge Hyde, all of Lufkin; honorary grandson, Brandon Sellers of Hudson; his special girls, Heidi and Babe; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, I.D. Berry; and nephew, Anthony Ray 'Tony' Childers. The family extends special thanks to Affinity Hospice for all their love and care, and request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to them at 2708 S.
