JP Reddy Obituary

JP REDDY JP Reddy passed away May 15, 2009, after a very short, but aggressive fight with cancer. All of his documents say he was born March 18, 1951, in Hyderabad, India, though he swears that he was born in 1950. Whatever the case, JP always felt younger than he was. He grew up in a very strict, high-caste family in India, but always felt out of place. In 1974, JP picked up, renounced his luxurious life and with $112 in his pocket and one suitcase, he came to the United States (New York). He quickly moved to Colorado with a friend, Mohammed, and they attended a university there. Shortly thereafter, JP felt like he needed a change and narrowed his choices to a city on each coast: Miami or Los Angeles. He flipped a coin, it landed on Los Angeles, and the west coast it was. JP liked the fast life and began working at Whittlesea Motors in Torrance, Calif. He ended up at Downtown LA Motors, where he met the love of his life, Rita Sweet. JP pursued Rita for years until she finally came around. She had no idea that she would settle down and produce a family with this "little Indian man." They dated for a couple of years, moved in together and had one son, Ryan. Soon after Ryan's birth, the family packed up and moved to Las Vegas, where they had a daughter, Ashleigh. Las Vegas is where they built their successful lives together. JP stayed in the car industry and ended up spending his final years working for Fletcher Jones Imports. JP's proudest accomplishment was his loving family. He touched hundreds, if not thousands of lives through his years in the service industry. JP was a loving husband, doting father, loyal friend and sympathetic ear to all. A memorial service will take place 2-4 p.m. Friday, May 22, at the Desert Memorial Chapel, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. N.

Mrs. Reddy, Ryan, Ashleigh, Ratna, Nischela, entire Reddy family immediate and extended:

My prayers will remain with you always. JP positively touched the lives of all those he came in contact with. As each of us takes solace in that, his memory lives on forever. I truly feel that the family JP left behind, from here to India, is an extension of my own family. For that I am eternally grateful. You are all in my heart...

Mrs. Reddy, Ryan, Ashleigh and Extended Reddy Family,

The Sayles Family was saddend to hear of the sudden passing of your husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, etc. JP made a great impression on Ambrose, Ashleigh's friend. He was a wonderful man, as evidenced by his wife and children, and the loving sentiments expressed on his behalf. His fun loving spirit and thirst for knowledge will live on through his children. May you all find comfort in knowing that JP touched so many lives, and that he was loved and admired. Your family is in our prayers.

JP was a very very nice man. I met him when I purchased my first Mercedes in October of 2008. He assisted me with every detail of the sale - even though there was a special event for Doctors going on at the same time and he could have left me to get a much larger sale... I had intended to do my upgrade with him next year...

You will be missed, and you are appreciated.

Although I only dealt with Mr. Reddy a few times many years ago, his kindness and willingness to go out of his way to assist you, even though he just met you, was unforgettable, and I had been wondering where he was working. My condolences.

I was so shocked to learn of the loss of JP Reddy. The world is a better place due to the fact we had a JP in our lives. I was actually planning on coming 700 miles for my next service just because of JP. He took care of us and our cars like we were family. After my husband passed, he monitered everything with due diligence for me like a sister. I loved the heart of this man. All whom he has touched are better people because of him. Grace and blessing's to his family from one that will miss him greatly !!
A bright star that left us far too soon.

JP, my financial advisor, mentor, close friend, coworker. For the years I knew and worked for JP I learned alot of things about alot of things. I could always count on his advise and wise words to keep me calm even in the roughest waters. Over time I learned to control my worries more, this is the most valuable lesson I learned from JP, all the worrying will get you nowhere. Jp taught me that there are more ways to make money than just being at work. He has helped me learn a great deal about the stock market and all other sorts of investments. You can always count on JP to be there if you had a problem, a great person to talk to, one of the wisest men I have met and it was a great pleasure to have worked with him and to have him around. JP has a great impact on my life and I consider him to be the most influential person I have met in my young years. You will be greatly missed JP.

I never have read the MB online newsletter. Today something told me to take a look and I was shocked. JP has been my service advisor for 9 years. I have thought about in the past few years to go to Henderson MB since they are closer to my home.

But, what kept me at Sahara MB was JP. He was warm, honest and always worked on the pricing for my services. He was the best advisor I ever had. He always took into consideration of my little girl's safety. I will miss him dearly.

There will be no reason to go back to Sahara MB. I will have to look elsewhere for service for my MB.

My sincere heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family. He was a wonderful person who will be truly missed.

I certainly was very saddened if not shocked to learn of JP's passing as I drove to California the day of the memorial. Of all I knew, from all of the years I knew him, JP only added to the earth and it's inhabitants. There are few of whom that can be said. He made friends of all he met and served all of his friends as if his whole task was to be their best friend. I know he has gone on to somewhere even more blessed than Las Vegas. May Rita and the rest of the family remember only the best of times, soon and often.

Dear Rita, Ryan, and Ashleigh,
I am a ventriloquist who performed on the strip for the past 8 years. I was also a customer of your fantastic JP. I was humbled by his huge knowledge and expertise of the Mercedes product. I will miss him. But what I will miss most is his sense of humor and playfulness ; especially when it came to my 10 year old Mercedes SUV and my problems not understanding it. We had many non-injurious laughs together over MY misinformation as well as at the Mercedes Company. JP could also laugh at himself (which I think is the higher level, or ZEN, of comedy.)

I lost my father 7 years ago. I had always thought it was just the polite thing to do for people to send their condolences. Then my dad died. I was surprised to discover how helpful and better it made me feel to be on the receiving end of everyone's support and sympathy. I lovingly extend those feelings to you. JP was simply a wonderful man, a cool guy, and he will missed. More importantly, he will also be remembered.
Puppetually Yours,
-Ronn

I met JP through Fletcher Jones. He was my service advisor. Over the past 5 years, we became friends and often had lunch. He was always smiling and talking with pride about his family. He also introducted me to a lot of people and you can see that he was a friend to everyone. He will be missed.

I have known JP for only 10 years, baked him strudel every
holiday, much to his delight. I will miss him dearly. I cannot go to Fletcher Jones without feeling very sad. Since we are from Hawaii, I will just say "aloha" Judy Applebaum.

June 17, 2009

I only met JP once. I picked up my wife's 80 year old grandmother so she didn't have to wait to have her car serviced. You could tell what class came out of this man. From the way he dressed, the way he carried himself, the way he spoke to her with the utmost respect. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

Hi. I knew JP well, right from school. He knew how to be happy and his way was to live life to its fullest. Live every moment of it.
