Morris Reisman Obituary

MORRIS REISMAN On Nov. 17, 2009, Morris Reisman, 76, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, after a heroic year-long battle with cancer. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, Morris is survived by his loving wife, of 53 years, Arline; sons, Larry, Robert and David; grandson, Joshua; sister, Carol; brother, Richie; and countless brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Born in New York City, he went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force in the early 1950's. After serving his country, he continued working as an aircraft mechanic for Lockheed, where he was recognized as a "master mechanic," an achievement he was always very proud of. Being someone who loved being around people and talking up a storm, he soon found his true calling in sales. His career culminated with his inventing and marketing of the "Banana Keeper" and "Corn Brush," two products that were his pride-and-joy. People naturally took to Morris and his infectious enthusiasm which is why to this day he has countless close friends who consider him to be one of their families. Morris was a consummate host, who found joy in making other people comfortable and happy. He enjoyed playing poker at a local casino, where he made yet even more friends. Morris, his love of life, love of people, and giving nature will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. Services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89120, (702) 464-8570. Anyone wishing to make a donation in his honor, please send contributions to "The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation," 5526 West 13400 South #510, Salt Lake City, Utah 84096.

I only got to visit with Morris a few short times. The times I seen him he always had a great story. He will be missed very much. He gave me a banana keeper and even though I dont eat many bananas I still make sure its on my counter top as a reminder not only of him but to always stay strong, and to always have a good look on life even when times are tought. My Prayers are with the Family in this tough time. Just remember Reismans he is still with everyone of you. You should feel very proud and very blessed to have had a man like morris in your life. He has touched SO MANY lives in such a great way and will TRULY be missed.

Dear Arline and Family:

I'm Lindy Rupp, Lloyd & Jeanne's kid- sister of the all the Rupps! Morris was a true gentleman and a lovely and kind person. I remember one Christmas Day when he was flying across the country to go home and surprised us by showing up at our parents' house where all of us Rupps were gathered, bearing gifts of olive wood Christmas ornaments and figurines that he bought for us in the Holy Land! He didn't have to do that--what a generous and kind gesture! I still have some of those ornaments and will treasure them always.

Please accept my sincere condolences to your family. May the soul of Morris rest in peace with God! I have been praying for Morris since his diagnosis and will continue to keep him and you in my prayers. God bless you.
