I have known Merle Vanloo for as long as I can remember. He was kind to me as a neighborhood kid and when Cherie and I had moved back down the street, he always had a kind word, a gentle smile, and a funny joke. While heaven has gained an angel, the world has lost a wonderful human being. Our condolences to Yvonne, Gary, and Kim and their families. God Speed Merle!

I'm gonna miss you so much grandpa. You were my best buddy and someone I looked up to. You NEVER failed to make me feel so happy whenever I was in a bad mood. I'm gonna miss singing our song together, listening to your stories, and have you kiss my head and tell me how beautiful I am. I can't believe you're gone but now you're happy with your family in heaven.
I love you.
