Schmidt, Rosina Katherine, age 82, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. She was born in Yugoslavia, October 27, 1931, the daughter of the late John and Rosalia (Pertschy) Dorner. She and Richard L. Schmidt were married in Detroit on May 9, 1953. Richard died October 9, 2009. Rosina was a parishioner of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond and had worked for Sears for 35 years until her retirement in 2007. She enjoyed casinos, knitting, crocheting, cards and loved spending time with her friends and especially her family. Surviving are two daughters, Rosanne (Charles) Osborne, Randy (Jack) Randazzo; son, Richard (Deborah) Schmidt; grandchildren, Nicole (Jason), Richard (Tara), Kacey (Matt), Brooke and Krystal and great-grandsons Nolan, Colten and Madden. Her brother Michael Dorner preceded her in death. Visitation will be Friday 2-8 p.m. with a time of sharing memories and Scripture services at 7 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Rite of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond, with 9 a.m. visiting. Memorials are suggested to “Wishes of the Family”.
