Howard George DeLong, age 80, of Port Huron Township, died September 15, 2012. Howard was born August 1, 1932 in Treverton, Pennsylvania to the late Chester and Elva DeLong. He married Valarie Boccia on April 28, 1970 in Mount Clemens. Howard retired from General Motors
Corporation. He served in the U.S. Navy
aboard the USS Intrepid. Survived by his wife, Valarie; daughters, Catherine Sopha and Dara (Nick) Montagano; four grandchildren; sister, Dolly (Fritz) Ambrose; and brother, Dale DeLong. Visitation 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted at 4 p.m. and a Liturgy of the Word will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Most Holy Trinity Chapel at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
