Darlene J. Wagner Obituary
Went to be with her Lord and beloved husband on Friday, November 8, 2013. She was born April 14, 1926, daughter of the late Raymond Corey and the late Betty Zina (King) Colley in Detroit, Mich. She married her Marine, Richard L. Wagner Sr. on September 7, 1941 and shared nearly 70 years with him until he went home to the Lord on July 4, 2011. Those years were precious to her and she had a special request to use the photo he carried with him from 1942. She was predeceased by her closest friends and loving relatives, Arthur V. Wagner, Charles H. Wagner and Jean L. Wagner and great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Justine Wagner. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Ruth Wagner of Wisconsin and her loving son, Richard L. (friend Trisha) Wagner Jr. of Clay Township and a daughter, Patricia J. Harker of Florida; nephew, John Wagner; nieces, Diane (Joe) Deinek and Patricia Ann Wagner. Proud grandmother of G. Ross Aquilina (fiancee Shelene), Jeffrey P. (Sarah) Wagner, Dawn (John) Mayo, Richard L. (Rebecca) Wagner III and the "twins" Justin (Lauren) Kuzinar and Ryan Wagner, Gary Robert Kirby (fiancee Darlene), Kimberly (Mike) Meldrum, Amy DeLeon (Phino). Great-grandmother of Zachary Aquilina, Jordan Wagner, Kirstyn Wagner, Joshua, Jacob, and Emily Mayo, Gage, Ava, Maya, and Alexis Wagner, the late Robin Kirby, Brandy Kirby, Ashley Meldrum and Chloe DeLeon. Great-great-grandmother of Monica Milasinovich, Jacob and Dylan Brockett and Amelia Meldrum. Mrs. Wagner was a loving wife, mother and grandparent, a business entrepreneur, owning the Ingelside Grocery and Cleaners and longtime Chateau Estates employee, retiring as Community Manager for the Chateau Clinton Park. She will be missed by all but is happy to be home with her heavenly Father, husband and family members. Visitation Tuesday, November 12 from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday, November 13 from 2-8 p.m. at Gendernalik Funeral Home, 35259 23 Mile Road, New Baltimore. Funeral service Thursday, November 14 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Penrickton Center for Blind Children or Leader Dogs for the Blind or the Detroit Rescue Mission.
