Howard Herman Lange, age 72, of Rochester Hills, passed away April 16, 2012. He was born May 12, 1939, to Elizabeth Esther Rable Lange and Willy Albert Herman Lange at Saratoga Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Burbank Elementary School and Denby High School, graduating in June of 1957. Attended Lawrence Institute of Technological and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management in June 1963. He was employed by the Ford Motor Company for 33 years in a variety of positions in the controllers office at the Utica Trim Plant, retiring in 1996. Mr. Lange was active with the Junior Achievement program for five years. He was an active member of St. Thomas Presbyterian Church in Shelby Township, Mich., serving as church treasurer for six years. He is survived by his wife Carole Rae Berndt Lange for 44 years; brother Richard Lange; children, Gwen (Stephan) Dungan, Karen (Jeffrey) Proudfit, and Grant Lange D.O.; grandchildren, Adam and Jessica Julien, Stephan and Mitchell Dungan, Makenzie, Trevor, and Kayla McFadden, Brennen Proudfit, Jonas and Grace Lange. Memorial Service Saturday, April 21, 2012, 1 p.m. at the Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, 339 Walnut Blvd., Rochester. The family will receive friends on Saturday, 11 a.m. until time of service.
