Marie Annette Kajda, age 65, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012. Mrs. Kajda loved her family dearly. She thought her daughter, Mary, "hung the moon." Marie liked to send cards to encourage people, earning her the title, "The Card Lady." In addition to her daughter, Mary (husband, Earl), Mrs. Kajda is survived by her mother, Hazel Poole; sisters, Elaine Slomsky, Carol Couto, and Mary Couto; brothers, Tom Broyles and Robert Broyles; grandchildren, Deborah, Christopher, Kevin, and Dalton; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Isaiah, Lillian, and Elijah. A Memorial Service celebrating Mrs. Kajda's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23 at Maranatha Baptist Church, 7927 Leon Road, Jacksonville, FL 32246, with Rev. Richard Simmons officiating.
