Thomas Charles Nuttle, welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on May 4, 2012. Born January 24, 1925.A WWII veteran of the US Navy in the Pacific Theatre. Thomas served as a Chief Petty Officer on a PT boat in the Philippines. While in the Philippines, Thomas had a pet monkey that he traded for some ice cream. After 39 years of U.S. Government service,he retired in 1992, as Chief of the Coastal Division from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District. Thomas loved flying, learning, health and woodworking. He was an usher at St. Thecla Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Gabriel Richard Leadership instructor. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ann (nee McGinley). Dear son of the late Thomas and Ethel. Loving father of Thomas, Mike (Kathie), Ann, Rose Marie (James) Schick, and John (Kimberly).Dear brother of Rosanne (Raymond) Stoklosa, Jack (Marie),the late Virginia (John) Corcoran and Paul (Jeanette). Proud and loving grandfather of Jennifer (Arthur) Terlep, Alexander, Aidan and Aaron Nuttle, and Brandon and Brianna Schick.Visitation Monday 5-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Scripture service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc.,36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Instate Wednesday 9:30 a.m. until time of 10 a.m. Mass at St. Thecla Catholic Church, 20740 S. Nunneley (E of Metro Parkway, S of Groesbeck). Entombment, Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
