Dan Logghe Obituary
Dan Logghe, age 46, of Richmond Township, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 23, 2011, in a helicopter accident in Northern Michigan. He was born January 12, 1965, in Highland Park, to Ronald M. and Josephine (Finazzo) Logghe. He married Kristi Klein on January 21, 1995 in Clinton Township. Dan graduated from Western Michigan University in 1989 with a business degree. He was a third generation co-owner and operator of Logghe Stamping Company of Fraser for 25 years. Dan loved his family and friends. He was a member of the Richmond Sportsman's Club, loved to fly his helicopter and was an avid hunter who had hunted in many exotic locales including Africa, New Zealand, Russia, Mexico and Columbia. Surviving are his wife, Kristi of 16 years and their two children, Kyle and Nicole; parents, Ronald and Josephine of Richmond Township; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Michele and Thomas Foster of Richmond Township and Denise and John Gilbert of Columbus Township; nephews, Ronald and Jacob; and niece, Kaitlyn; mother and father-in-law, Larry and Evelyn Klein of Canadian Lakes; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Karli and Brett Pegher of Macomb Township and Kayti and Gene Magnee of Grand Blanc; nephews and niece, Jack and Logan Pegher and Elizabeth and Christian Magnee; grandfathers-in-law, Lee Carter of Clinton Township and Art Klein of Canadian Lakes; many aunts, uncles, and cousins along with many close friends. A memorial luncheon will be held at noon on Thursday, September 29, at Maniaci's Banquet Center, Main Street, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family. Arrangements are by Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond.
