Henry Wojno Obituary
Henry Wojno, age 94, died on August 2, 2013. Henry was born in Detroit, Mich., and was a 1937 graduate of Hamtramck High School. He served in the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant in WWII in the Ardennes, Central Europe and Rhineland Campaigns receiving three Bronze Service Stars and several commendations. He attended the College of Creative Studies in Detroit and worked as a talented artist in the automotive and defense industry. He retired from Chrysler Co. in 1977. For many years, he and his wife, Florence enjoyed spending winters in Naples, Florida. They enjoyed reading, the symphony and morning and evening walks on the beach. He was an avid oil and pastel painter and he completed numerous pieces of art. Beloved husband of Florence. Dearest father of Dr. Ted Wojno and Honorable Paul (Lisa) Wojno. Loved by his grandchildren, Nicole, Lauren, Alex, Kennedy, Bradley and Audrey. Will be missed by his nieces and nephews. Henry was predeceased by his parents, Chester and Adela; and sister, Cassie (Bobowski) and brother, Casmere. Henry will be missed deeply by all his friends and family members. Visitation Monday 3-9 p.m. with an evening Scripture service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road).
