MichelleAllen Gordon, GA- Mrs. Michelle Glover Allen, 44, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Memorial service will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville, Saturday, September 03, 2016, at 11AM, with Rev. Dewayne Outlaw and Rev. Sam Loyd officiating. The family will receive friends from 10AM until the service hour. Mrs. Allen was a native of South Carolina and had lived in Gordon for the past 25 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Antiock Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Larry Glover and a son, Justin Allen. Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband, Laith Allen of Gordon, a daughter, Brittney Allen of Gordon, her mother, Cheryl Wood, her step-father, Jimmy Wood, of Macon, her sister, Christie Glover (David) Walsh of Macon, brothers; James (Janet) Glover of Jones County, Jimmy (Brittany) Wood of Macon. Bertha Bullock Adkinson Fort Valley, GA- Bertha Bullock Adkinson, 83, died on Sunday, August 28, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at Oaklawn Cemetery, 720 South Camellia Boulevard in Fort Valley, with the Reverend Ed McQueen and the Reverend Coleman Dumas III officiating. Family will greet friends at the graveside.   Born in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late Russell and Sue Bullock, Mrs. Adkinson was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Valley, and the Grace Sunday School Class. She is predeceased in death by her husband, Don Adkinson, great granddaughter, McKinley Adkinson, and brothers, Robert Bullock and Ray Bullock.  Survivors include her children, Tom Adkinson (Angela) of Fort Valley, Lois Willard (Mike) of Perry, and Glenn Adkinson (Alice) of Fort Valley; grandchildren, Mike Willard Jr., Tommy Willard, Stephen Adkinson, Susan Evans, Blair Edwards, and Nikki Greer; several great grandchildren; siblings, Esther Spellman, Charlie Bullock, and Sue Cherry; and numerous nieces and nephews.   The family wishes to sincerely thank the owners and staff of Jamestown, Mother's caregivers and sitters, and the employees of Gentiva Hospice for their kindness, compassion, and devotion to Mother.   Please go to  to express online condolences. James Taylor Amason November 11, 1935 - August 23, 2016 Macon , Georgia- James Taylor Amason, Jr., 80, of Macon passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side, Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Funeral Services to honor his life will be held Friday, August 26, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon with the Pastor Dr. Dan Hall officiating. Immediately following the service Mr. Amason will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation to greet friends Thursday, August 25 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Born in Macon, Georgia to the late James Taylor Amason, Sr. and Dorothy Smith Amason, James proudly served our country in the Unites States Army. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member at Bethel Baptist Church in Lizella where he was involved with the Sunday School Class. Mr. Amason faithfully served the residents of Macon and Bibb County as a Police Officer, and retired after a faithful 25 years. He was active with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3. James was preceded in death by his parents, as well as one Step-Son; Dennis Trotter. Left to cherish his memory is his adoring wife; Jewel Amason. Arrington, Robert Dudley "Bobby" - Lizella  
Robert "Bobby" Dudley Arrington April 03, 1945 - August 25, 2016 Lizella, Georgia- Robert D. Arrington "Bobby", 71 of Lizella, Georgia, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on August 25, 2016 with his family by his side. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Lt. Bobby Arrington retired from the Macon Police Department after 31 years of outstanding service. Bobby was also a homebuilder and owned Bobby Arrington Construction. He also served his country as a U.S. Navy veteran and was of the Baptist faith. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, O.D. Arrington, and his mother, Jewell Arrington. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 21 years, Geneva Arrington, his children; Denise Powell, Tricia Wilson (Scott), Felicia Jordan and David Jordan. Six grandchildren; Trey Henderson, Forrest Williams, Tanner Garman, Max Wilson, Sophie Wilson and Cade Jordan. As well as his brothers, Wayne Arrington (Gail) & Danny Arrington.
