Eugene Mincey November 14, 1941 - April 29, 2016 Hawkinsville, GA- Eugene Mincey, age 74, passed away on April 29, 2016 in Macon, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 3p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Broad Street Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Waters and Rev. Blake Westbrook officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service in the Sanctuary of Broad Street Baptist Church from 1:30p.m. to 2:45p.m. Mr. Mincey was born in Baxley, Georgia on November 14, 1941 to the late Dock and Alma Mincey. He had lived most of his adult life in Hawkinsville, Georgia and was a member of Broad Street Baptist Church where he also attended the Auditorium Sunday School Class. He was self-employed as a small engine mechanic. Gene enjoyed hunting, spending time with his grandchildren and staying actively involved in church. Mr. Mincey was preceded in death by his brother, Wendell Mincey and sister, Bobbie Currie. He is survived by his daughters, Darlene (Dale) Gilbert of Hawkinsville, Georgia, Stephanie (Chad) Smith of Eastman, Georgia and Dawn (Jeffery) Beck of Statesboro, Georgia; grandchildren, Jaclyn (Michael) King, T.J. Gilbert, Ty Smith, Jenna Beck, Peyton Smith and Lauren Beck; brother, Edward (Janet) Mincey of Eastman, Georgia and Carroll (Linda) Mincey of Montgomery, Alabama; sisters, Shirley Hester of Leesburg, Georgia, Wanda (Gene) Rogers of Callahan, Florida and Fay (Tommy) Herrington of Hawkinsville, Georgia. He is also survived by his great grandchild, Mackenzie Gilbert and several nieces and nephews. Kevin Morgan September 26, 1974 - April 30, 2016 Macon, GA- Kevin Morgan, age 41, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning while enjoying his favorite past time- video games. Kevin was born in Macon and was a member of Porterfield Baptist Church. A 1994 graduate of Southeast High School, Kevin excelled in football, baseball, and wrestling. He was a practical joker and loved to make people laugh. He was employed with Yancey Bros Co. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Carla D. Morgan; their three furbabies, Pepper, Crickett, and Deacon; mother and step father, Paula and Pete "Red" Kilgore of Forsyth; father and step mother, Mark and Michelle Morgan of South Carolina; grandmother, Jackie Morgan of Ft. Valley; mother in law and father in law, Robert and Julie Jones of Byron; sister, Misty Combs (James) of Culloden; nieces, Ellie and Erin Combs; half sister, Kelli Morgan of South Carolina; sister in law, Melissa Giles (Allen) of Macon; and nephew, Anthony Giles. A Celebration of Kevin's life will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in the Chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Reverend Jeremy Tondee and Brother Jimmy Woods officiating. Patrick LeeRoy Murphy November 22,1937 - April 30,2016 Byron, GA- Patrick LeeRoy Murphy, 78, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Patrick was born on November 22, 1937 in Hutchison, Kansas to Wes and Rosabelle Murphy. Patrick retired as a sheet metal mechanic supervisor from Robins Air Force Base. He had also worked as a farmer and an oil field worker. He was a strong family man. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley A. Murphy, and his sons: Patrick Mark Murphy and Bernard L. Murphy. His memory will forever be treasured by his children: Elaine Preston, Mid West City, OK; Tamara J. Aaby, Byron, GA; Donald Aaby, Seattle, WA; his grandchildren: Jeremy A. Mitchell; Jessica M. Susan Thigpen McDonald Harrison, GA- Mrs. Susan Thigpen McDonald, age 62, of Harrison, died Sunday, April 24, 2016. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 27th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Reverend Ron Bracewell will officiate. Susan was born in Bibb County and reared in Warner Robins where she graduated from Northside High School. She was a Washington County resident for many years and she was a homemaker. Susan enjoyed a great love of sewing and sharing her gifts through children's clothes, stuffed animals, and quilting. She also possessed a passion for children, formerly working for the Washington County Head Start and the Washington County Youth Development Center. Susan was a lover of animals, especially her cats. Survivors are: her husband, Steve McDonald of Harrison; children, Veronica June Taylor "Junie" and her husband Randy of Warner Robins; and Jonathan Christopher Wayne McDonald and his fiancé Aquila of Harrison; grandchildren, Brooke Taylor, Benjamin Taylor, and Brantley Taylor; her parents, Wayne and June Garrard Thigpen of Sandersville; and her brothers, Wayne Garrard Thigpen and his wife Lois of Columbus IN, and Richard Harrison Thigpen and his wife Joann of Sandersville. Rev. Richard B. McFadden, Sr. October 8, 1927 - April 23, 2016 Macon, GA- Reverend Richard B. McFadden, Sr. , 88, of Macon passed away peacefully early Saturday Morning, April 23,2016. Funeral Services to honor his life will be held Wednesday, April 27 at 2:00 p.m. at White Oaks Freewill Baptist Church with the Reverend Brian Cameron officiating. Burial will be immediately following in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday, April 26 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon. Born in Macon to the late Richard A. and Mary McFadden Reverend McFadden was a graduate of Lanier High School where he was a Platoon leader in ROTC. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy from 1949-1953. After his time in the Navy, Richard became an ordained pastor on October 2, 1953 and was a long time member of White Oaks Freewill Baptist Church. He also retired from The United States Postal Service after 27 years where he worked on vehicle maintenance. Reverend McFadden was also a Master Mason. Reverend McFadden was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years Frances "Louise" McFadden, two sons; Richard McFadden, Jr. and Tim McFadden as well as one brother and four grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory is his daughters; Patsy Arnold of Macon, Linda (Jimmy) Rozier of Forsyth, and Sandra ( Mark) Jones of Cordele. Sons; Thomas A. McFadden of Macon, Mark A. McFadden (Debbie Raulerson) of Bonaire, Scott (Kim) McFadden, Juliette; daughter in law, Vickie McFadden of Gray. 24 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Minshew was preceded in death in 2001 by her husband of fifty-five years, Milton Edward Minshew. A lifelong resident of Macon, she was the daughter of the late John C. (Jack) and Lillie May Allen Clarke and was a graduate of Miller High School. Mrs. Minshew graduated from Rutland Grammar School and A. L. Miller High School. She also attended the American Institute of Banking and Macon Junior College. Mrs. Minshew worked at C & S Bank, Robins Air Force Base and retired from the City of Macon as Administrative Assistant at the Macon Airport after thirty-three years. She was an active member of Avondale Baptist Church and was the sister of the late Jack Clarke. Left to cherish her memory are her children, David E. (Carol) Minshew, Sr., Jennifer (Don) Warren, and John A. (Tonya) Minshew; her beloved grandchildren, Tonya (Joey) Cole, David (Jennifer) Minshew, Jr., Matthew (Cheri) Warren, Melissa (Chuck) Edwards, Alaina Minshew and Andrew Minshew; her great grandchildren, Austin Cole, Kristen Cole, Dawson Minshew, Alexis Warren, and Chloe Edwards; her siblings, Mary Ann Dunaway, Carolyn Wyche, Ned Clarke, Kay Clarke, Larry Clarke, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Monday, Stephen - Bonaire  
Stephen Alan Monday February 10, 1966 - April 26, 2016 Bonaire, GA- Steve Monday, 50, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Steve was born on February 10, 1966 in Warner Robins, Georgia to the late Paul and Eileen Monday. He graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1984, before attending Georgia Southern University where he received a Bachelor in Science in Secondary Education. Following Georgia Southern, Steve taught at Tabor Middle School for two years then taught and coached at Houston County High School for eight years. Steve decided to further his education, obtaining a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Troy State University. In 2000 he returned to his alma mater as the assistant principal. Steve was chosen in 2004 to serve as Interim Principal and 6 months later was permanently hired as the Principal of Warner Robins High School. Due to his leadership, Warner Robins High School has been recognized several times as a Title 1 Distinguished School. Steve was a true "Warner Robins Demon" who loved his school, school family, and supported academics and athletes at WRHS. He was also an incredible father; he always enjoyed being a big part of his children's lives. Through the years he was always supportive of them in sports, activities, and everything they pursued. In his spare time, Steve enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his beloved family and friends. Along with his parents, his brother, Paul Curtis Monday, Jr., preceded him in death. His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Matthew Paul Monday and Katherine Taylor Monday, both of Warner Robins; sisters, Sue Nash (Strud) of Macon; Lisa Mingee (Dexter) and Nancy Lindsey (Keith), all of Warner Robins; special friend, Chris Gibson of Warner Robins; as well as numerous other family members and friends. Visitation with Steve's family will be Friday, April 29, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Central Baptist Church. Following the service, Steve will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Later, she was a devoted homemaker who loved serving her family and was a loyal member of West Macon Baptist Church and Bellevue Baptist Church where she served her Lord and her church family with a heart of love. Left to cherish her memory is her loving family, her daughters, Lynn (Larry) Stevens of Marietta and Judi (John) Winters of Birmingham, AL; her beloved grandchildren, Jay (Christy) Stevens of Jacksonville, FL, Keri (Peter) Lurtz of West Palm Beach, FL, Amy (Chris) Garrett of Alabaster, AL and Michael Winters of Villa Rica; six great grandchildren, James Stevens of West Palm Beach, Garrett Stevens of Marietta, Brodie and Emma Garrett of Alabaster and Alexandra and Isabella Lurtz of West Palm Beach.
