Melva Jewell Flowers June 5, 1930 - April 27, 2016 Warner Robins, GA- Melva Flowers, 85, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Melva was born on June 5, 1930 in Clark County, Alabama to the late Alva and Clara Dortch. She worked for K-Mart Corporation as an Assistant Manager in the restaurant until her retirement. Melva was very outgoing, she loved being outdoors working in the yard and tending to her flowers. In her spare time, Melva enjoyed traveling and bingo. However her greatest joy came from time spent with her beloved family and dog "Bouncer". Along with her parents, her husband, Turner Lee Flowers; son, Ronnie Flowers; brothers, Jamie, Orin, and Junior Dortch; sisters, Annie B. and Hazel Dortch, preceded her in death. Her memory will forever be treasured by her sons, Alton Flowers (Charlene) and Larry Flowers; daughters, Pat Reynolds (Stan) and Sandy Dannelly; grandchildren, Chris Reynolds (Kim), Adam Dannelly (Jessica), Alexis Klima (Bruce), Eric Reynolds (Polina), Andrew Flowers, Austin Flowers; great-grandchildren, Michael Reynolds, Joshua Reynolds, Siena Klima, Veda Dannelly, Max Duran, Marissa Duran; brother, Hollis Dortch; sister, Beatrice Dortch; sister-in-law, Ruby Faye Dortch; as well as numerous other beloved family members. Visitation with Melva's family will be Friday, April 29, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of McCullough. After the service, Melva will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Turner Flowers in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Floyd, Mahlon - Cochran  
Mahlon Floyd 1/18/1924 - 4/25/2016 Cochran, GA- Funeral services for Mahlon W. Floyd, 92, of Cochran, who died Monday, April 25, 2016 at Green Meadows Personal Care Home, will be held in Fisher Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private in Limestone Memorial Gardens. Mr. Floyd was a life long residence of Bleckley County and son of the late Thomas J. and Effie Mae Howell Floyd. He was a veteran of the United States Army and World War II. He was a farmer and retired employee of Cochran Oil Mill. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Cochran and a member of Men's Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Mary Davis Floyd and siblings, Avis Whited, Eunice Davis, Wylene Waddell, Terrell Floyd, Herman Floyd, Julian Floyd, Jefferson Floyd, Alma Berryhill, Nellie McDaniel, and Lucille Mobley. Survivors include: daughter, Sheree (Phil) Serrian of Duluth; sons, Tim (Barbara) Floyd of Sycamore and Keith (Lori) Floyd of Gainesville; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jewell Baker of Gray and Merle (Owen) Kirkpatrick of Cochran; and sister-in-law, Montine Davis Lowery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Green Meadows PCH, Activity Fund, 155 Abney Road, Cochran GA 31014. The family will greet friends following the service in the chapel. Evelyn was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Shurlington United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Don (Angie) McClure and Margie (Terry) McKenzie; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; her brother, Fred (Edith) Dixon, and several nieces and nephews.
