Earwood, Gerald Wayne - Fort Valley  
MSgt. Gerald Wayne Earwood, USAF (Ret.) March 13, 1931 - May 22, 2016 Fort Valley, GA- On the morning of Sunday, May 22, 2016, Gerald Wayne Earwood joined his beloved wife, Jeri K.Y. Earwood in Heaven. He was 85 years old. Gerald was born in Cumby, Texas, a son of the late Perry Joseph and Etta Pearl Sexton Earwood. He proudly served his country with the United States Air Force retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant and later retired from First Hawaiian Bank in Honolulu, Hawaii, as well. A skilled handyman, Gerald had a passion for woodworking and computers. He was also a strong believer in charity work and devoted much of his time to volunteering at F.A.I.T.H. (Fighting Abuse in the Home) Thrift Store in Rabun County. Wiley Presbyterian Church in Wiley, Georgia was his church home. In addition to his wife and parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Earwood; and his brothers, Nolan and Harrel Earwood. Gerald leaves his memory behind with his loving children, Linda Watson (Ned) of Fort Valley, Charles Earwood of Key West, Florida, and Michael Earwood (Lee Ann) of Bonaire; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Herman D. Earwood of Fort Worth, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4th at the Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home. At the family's request, burial will be private. Tyler C. Floyd April 14, 1992 - May 23, 2016 Cochran, GA- Memorial services for Tyler Cole Floyd, 24, of Cochran, who died Monday, May 23, 2016, will be held Friday, May 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fisher Funeral Home. Tyler was born in Dublin and lived in Cochran and Allentown all of his life. He was a graduate of Bleckley County High School and was employed by Quality Trans, Inc. He was of Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death his grandmother, Barbara Rickerson. He will always be remembered for his kind spirit and larger than life personality and sense of humor. Survivors include: mother, Jennifer Trice (Mark) Trawick of Cochran; father, Daniel (Nikki) Floyd of Cochran; brother, Nickolas Floyd (Katy Moore) of Cochran, Chris Trawick and Lawson Trawick both of Warner Robins; sister, Presley Floyd of Cochran; grandparents, Al Trice of Myrtle Beach, Jan Fordham of Cochran, Larry and Terri Floyd of Cochran, John Rickerson of Allentown, Harry and Marlyn Trawick of Macon, and Tim and Francs Brook of Allentown; and aunts and uncles, Jason (Susan) Floyd of Allentown, Erica Wyatt of Cochran, Harry and Kathy Trawick of Savannah, Mindy and Brandon Hawkins of Florence, KY and Brandon Floyd of Allentown. The family will meet friends at the funeral home Friday night from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will be at the residence of Jennifer and Mark Trawick on Beech Street in Cochran. Thomas C. Frankum, Jr. Macon, GA- Thomas C. Frankum, Jr., 75, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Forest Hills United Methodist Church. Burial will be private in Riverside Cemetery. Dr. Baxter Hurley, Rev. Diane Sweckard, and Rev. Robby Kerr will officiate. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 Monday at the church. Mr. Frankum was born in Clarkesville, Georgia the son of the late Bonnie Stonecypher Frankum and Thomas C. Frankum, Sr. He was a graduate of Mercer University, received his degree in Consumer Banking from the University of Virginia, and advance management school from Emory University. Mr. Frankum had a 49 year banking career, having worked with Citizens and Southern Bank, then Bank of America, before retiring from BB&T in 2011. He was a United States Army Reserve veteran. Mr. Frankum served on the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army, the Allocations Committee of United Way, the Board of Directors and Instructor of the American Institute of Banking, and Board of Directors of the Macon-Bibb County Recreation Department. He was a member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Burks Sunday School Class. Mr. Frankum also served on the Administrative Board, the Finance Committee, and was a Trustee. Mr. Frankum is survived by those he loved most - his wife of 51 years, Elaine Alley Frankum of Macon; son, Brian (Jennifer) Frankum of Macon; grandsons whom he adored, Cole Frankum, Taylor Frankum, and Nate Frankum; brothers-in-law, Harrison (Shirley) Alley, Reed (Edith) Alley; sister-in-law, Sharon Alley Grindle (Donald); numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ivey Gibson and her great grandson, James Eric Hawkins. Mrs. Gibson was a member of Day Star Church of God and attended Stone Edge Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and aunt. Ruby was an avid gardener, excellent Southern cook and was renowned for her beautiful ferns and homemade biscuits. Amelia Weatherly Greene 11/20/1920 - 05/24/2016 Macon, GA- Amelia Weatherly Greene, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at her home at Carlyle Place, Macon, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest Benedict Weatherly, Sr. and Bessie Amelia Howze Weatherly, her husband Warren Elliott Greene, Sr., sisters Evelyn Weatherly Hatcher, Cora Eunice Weatherly Brophy, brothers E. B. Weatherly, Jr., Albert Sidney Weatherly and Jack Malcomb Weatherly. Amelia was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished her family and friends. She spent most of her married life in Fort Valley and later moved to St. Simons Island before moving to Carlyle Place in Macon. She was a wonderful, caring person and to know her was to love her. She loved people and was a constant source of strength and support for her family and so many people that she felt needed her most. She was a person of great faith and loved her churches. She was an active member of Fort Valley United Methodist Church and later St. Simons United Methodist Church. She loved the beauty of St. Simons Island and enjoyed painting many of the beautiful scenes there. One of her greatest joys was sharing her art work with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her three devoted sons, Warren Elliott Greene, Jr. (Judye), William Elliott Greene, III (Kathy), and Ernest Weatherly Greene, Sr. (Patty). Her loving grandchildren Amelia Anne Greene Stanley (Hunter), Jason Elliott Greene (Katy), Taylor Franklin Greene (Kelsey), Ernest Weatherly Greene, Jr. (Blair), Michael Weatherly Greene, Amy Kathryn Greene, James David Lane and great grandchildren Lillian Grace Greene, Joseph Alexander Stanley, III, Samuel Elliott Greene, Jackson Weatherly Stanley, Margaret Rose Greene, Beckett Franklin Greene, Samuel Wilson Stanley, Keller James Greene, Reese Virginia Greene, Benjamin Mark Greene and Miles Weatherly Greene, sister-in-law Sara Greene Lane, nieces Betsy Hatcher Hibble and Linda Hatcher Wigley and many other special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m., Friday, May 27, 2016, at Fort Valley United Methodist Church with a private burial.
