William H. "Billy" Pruitt September 18, 1942 - August 25, 2015 Macon, GA- William H. "Billy" Pruitt, 72, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Grady Mimbs officiating. A visitation and reception will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Pruitt was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Noman Allen and Ruby Estelle Collins Pruitt. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Zack Pruitt and two sisters. Billy was retired from Keebler Company after forty years of service. He was a member of North Ridge Baptist Church and was a member of the Circle of Faith Sunday School Class. He loved coaching midget football and baseball for many years. Billy was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty two years, Linda Pruitt, two children, Lisa (Mike) Fordham, Bill (Tammy) Pruitt, three granddaughters, Kaylee Pruitt, Sarah Fordham, and Hannah Fordham, three brothers, Buddy Pruitt, Carl Pruett, Larry Pruett and numerous nieces and nephews. Smith, David Lee - Atlanta  
David Smith February 16,1960 - August 21, 2015 Atlanta, GA- David Lee Smith, a proud native son of Georgia, passed away on August 21, 2015. Lee is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cary Fleming-Smith, mother Sandra Greer Smith, her friend George Graves, sister Marty McCarty, her husband Dwayne, brother Andrew Smith and his wife Carmen, niece Kristen Mims, nephews Elisha Bagby, Greer Smith, Hunter Smith, Miles Smith, stepmother Ann Smith, and brother/sister-in-law Stephen and Cissa Fleming. He was preceded by his father, William David Smith, grandparents Robert L. and Margaret Greer, and great-grandmother Lilly Lockhart Middlebrooks. Lee, 55, a native of Macon, graduated from Central high school (member of Sedarmoc fraternity), the University of Georgia and Atlanta Law School. He practiced law in his adopted hometown of Atlanta for 22 years. Lee loved reading, especially southern American and world history, playing golf, traveling, trains, the outdoors, and talking with his friends at the Carl Sanders YMCA. He especially enjoyed spending time with his niece and nephews whom he took to swimming holes in north Georgia and travelled with them to Yellowstone National Park, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and various beaches and rivers in Texas. He loved watching the Georgia Bulldogs. He was a student at the University of Georgia in 1980 when the Bulldogs won the national championship behind Herschel Walker, and he and his brother would travel to at least one away game each season in addition to watching and discussing each week's game endlessly. But more than anything he loved his family. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, who was loved and will be missed by all those who loved and knew him. Services will be held at H.M. Patterson Spring Hill Chapel, Atlanta on Wednesday August 26 at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers ,the family requests that donations be made in Lee's name to the John Ritter Foundation on Aortic Health. Bettie Ruth Sparks Calloway August 2, 1933 - August 25, 2015 Roberta, GA- The celebration of her life is 11:00AM, Monday, August 31, 2015, at Saint Peter A.M.E. Church, 502 State University Drive, Fort Valley, GA with Reverend Robert Angrish, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Andersonville Military Cemetery. Bettie was born in Columbus, GA, August 2, 1933, the third of eight children to Felton & Duerell Sparks, Sr. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1951 and attended Morris Brown College, graduating in 1955. She came to Roberta, GA in 1955, teaching for the Crawford County Board of Education for 31 years, retiring in 1986. Bettie married Gilbert Calloway in 1959 and had three sons. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on May 23, 2015. Bettie served her community as a Girl Scout Troop Leader for over 40 years and for over a decade as board chairperson for both Roberta Housing Authority and Crawford County DFACS. She was president of the American Legion Auxiliary for Unit 268 and volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club of Roberta/Crawford County. Bettie was deeply devoted to the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., achieving Golden Soror status. She joined Saint Peter A.M.E. Church in 1969 serving on the Stewardess Board and Women's Progressive Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Felton Sparks, Jr. and sister, Rose Bard. Bettie Ruth Sparks Calloway, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Mourning her loss are husband, Gilbert Calloway; three sons, Tony (Avia), Victor (Angelika) & Ryan (Sonya) Calloway; five sisters, Ella Johnson, Margaret Jolly, Vivian Williams (William), Shirley Nuchols (Gene), Annie Robinson; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Stogsdill, Roy - Warner Robins  
Roy L. Stogsdill October 17, 1944 - August 25, 2015 Warner Robins, GA- Roy L. Stogsdill, 70, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Roy was born on October 17, 1944 in Springfield, Missouri to the late Don G. and Wilda Brashears Stogsdill. Roy graduated from West High School in Wichita, Kansas. He then continued his education at Wichita State University from where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He served in the Army National Guard. He worked at Robins Air Force Base for many years and retired as a Branch Chief in Electronics. Roy was a longtime member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder, Bible teacher and counselor, treasurer, and Clerk of Session. He was a Gideon and part of the Bill Glass Prison Ministry. Additionally, Roy was an accomplished golfer and bowler, things he enjoyed with friends. However, there was nothing that gave him more joy than spending time with his family, and most especially playing with his six beloved grandchildren. Along with his parents, his sister, Sharon Porsberg, preceded him in death. His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 39 years, Lynette Sirmons Stogsdill of Warner Robins; daughters, Carrie McNair (Terry) of Kathleen and Kimberly Clements (Jason) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Caden and Noah McNair, Ralph, William, Levi, and Carson Clements; sister, Donna Scott of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and nephew, Jason Forsyth of Dallas, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Mr. Stogsdill will be laid to rest in Buckhorn United Methodist Cemetery in Dudley, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Roy L.
