Hassie Elizabeth Andrews Gray, Georgia- Hassie Elizabeth Andrews, 94, passed away April 27, 2015, at Stone Brooke Suites, where she resided for several years. The family will greet friends from 1:30 - 2:30pm, Wednesday, April 29, 2015, in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow with interment at Macon Memorial Park. Rev. Ricky Varnell will officiate. Mrs. Andrews was born September 20, 1920, in Telfair county and had lived in Gray for the past five years. She was the daughter of the late Spurgeon and Estelle Perry. Mrs.Andews was a member of Gray United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband: William Alex Andrews and by her son: William "Andy" Harry Andrews. Mrs. Andrews is survived by her brother: J. E. Perry; sister-in-law: Inez Perry; niece: Gwen LaFollette; cousin: Mary Ann Hampton and her husband's niece: Cherry Jones. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Stone Brooke Suites for their excellent care of Mrs. Andrews. Flowers will be accepted, however, those who wish may make contributions to Gray United Methodist Church, 118 South Jefferson Street, Gray, Georgia 31032 or to the donor's favorite charity. Ellie Vee Beasley December 30, 1926 - April 28, 2015 Macon, Georgia- Ellie Vee Beasley, 88, of Macon, Georgia passed away April 28, 2015. The family will receive friends at a visitation Friday, May 1, 2015 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 4989 Mt. Pleasant Church Road; Macon, GA 31216. A celebration of her life will be held, graveside, Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Rd, Macon, GA 31216. The Rev. Joseph E. Williams, Jr. will be officiating. Mrs. Beasley was born on December 30, 1926 in Soperton, GA to the late George Dewey Smith, Sr. and the late Beulah Mae Braddy Smith. Mrs. Beasley is preceded in death by her husband, John Beasley of Macon, GA. She was a member of the Warner Robins Pentecostal Holiness Church on Shy Street in Warner Robins, GA where she served as a Sunday school teacher and Sunday School Superintendent for many years. Mrs. Beasley is survived by three daughters; Janie Poulnott (Terry), of Macon, GA ,Joan Neal(Jerry) of Macon, GA and Laura Davis (John) of Macon, GA. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Joel Neal(Annie), Kelli Guy(John), Julie McLendon(Josh), Michael Eisman(Nao), Laura Denson(Daryl), Kasey Poulnott, and six great-grandchildren: Matthew, Hunter and Ashlen Guy, Jake and Jaymi Kate McLendon, and DeMarcus Denson. She is survived by three siblings, Billy Smith(Cathy) of Byron, GA, Jackie Ballard(Larry) of Griffin, GA, and Jewel Allen of Martinez, GA, along with several nieces and nephews. Benton, Lessie Minish - Commerce  
Lessie Minish Benton Commerce, GA- Mrs. Lessie Minish Benton, age 98, of Commerce, GA died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Benton was born in Liberty, GA to the late David Lee and Eva Leila O'Kelley Minish. She was a member of Erastus Christian Church and was retired from Commerce City Schools as a lunchroom manager. She was the previous registrar for United Daughters of the Confederacy, a member of the Grey Ladies at BJC, Golden Heirs and Jolly Agers. She was the former treasure and president of the Minish Reunion and an avid gardener. Her family and heritage were very important to her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Benton was preceded in death by her husband, Verner R. Benton; sisters, Mae Ola Estes, Icie Leachman, Mildred Fitzpatrick and Gwen Johnson; and brothers, Horace Minish, John D. Minish, Woodrow Minish, Roland Minish and R.B. Minish. Mrs. Benton is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Bob McDowell of Athens, Brenda and Walter Wynn of Rockledge and Gail and Randal Stinson of Macon; sisters, Hallie Grace Fitzpatrick of Ila and Susie Davis of Commerce; grandchildren, Holly McDowell, Rob McDowell, Eva Evans, Jason Wynn, Jennifer Davis, Julie Ramsey, Samantha Stinson, Jessica Roberts and Jonathan Stinson; 13 great-grandchildren and 26 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Saturday, May 2 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Mr. Steven Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. Birch, Eric - Warner Robins  
TSgt. Eric Birch, GA ANG December 12, 1970 - April 28, 2015 Warner Robins, GA.- Eric Birch, 44, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Eric was born on December 12, 1970 in Winfield, Illinois. He was a member of Eighth Day Church in Warner Robins. Eric was proudly serving our country as an active duty member of the Georgia Air National Guard in the 116th Air Control Wing, JSTARS. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom during his 16 year military career. In his spare time he enjoyed firearms, computers, and his 2011 Ford Mustang, "Mona". Eric was very intelligent and had a lot of knowledge in the technology field. He was a devoted husband, father, son, uncle, and friend. His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife, Carla Birch of Warner Robins; children, Mindy Scott (Justin) and Dylan Birch of Warner Robins; mother, Michele Turney (Charles) of Prescott, Arizona; father, Peter Birch (Sylvia) of Mobile, Alabama; sister, Lisa Porter (Greg) of Safety Harbor, Florida; in-laws, Garrison and RoseMary Payne of Byron; nieces, Autumn and Ashley Porter; and numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Pastor David Brinson will officiate. Eddie Cleveland Bowden March 12, 1938 - April 26, 2015 Smarr, GA- Eddie Cleveland Bowden went to be with his Lord Sunday, April 26, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with burial in Forsyth City Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. Bowden, the son of the late Julian Ray Bowden and Josephine Rumble Bowden, was born March 12, 1938 in Smarr, Georgia. He was retired from Atlanta Gas Company. Mr. Bowden was a beef cattle and chicken farmer. He was a faithful member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, serving on various boards and serving as Sunday School Superintendent for forty plus years. He was a veteran of the Georgia Army National Guard and was a member and Past President of Forsyth Exchange Club. Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Lillian R. Bowden of Smarr; children, Karen (Richard) Lunney of Marietta and Douglas Ray (Kelli) Bowden of Smarr; sister, Joann Woodward of Smarr; four grandchildren, Jonathan Lunney, Justin Lunney, Stephen Bowden and Amy Bowden. Judy Brown Milledgeville, GA- Mrs. Judith "Judy" Nelson Brown age 80 passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015. Mrs. Brown was a native of Buffalo , N.Y and had made her home in Macon for a number of years before moving to Milledgeville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Doris Willert Nelson and her husband Carl Austin Brown, Jr. She was employed over 10 years by the accounting firm of Howard Moore and McDuffie. She was an animal lover and in her retirement owned and enjoyed horses and a host of dogs and cats. Survivors include her daughters Terry Brown Carr of Milledgeville and Caroline Brown of Atlanta ; sons, Carl A. Brown of Egan , MN and Peter Brown of Lansing , MI ; brothers Walter Nelson of Mentor, Ohio and Willard Nelson of Lebanon, IN. ; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Linda Brychcy Perry, GA- Linda Thompson Brychcy, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 1, 2015. As a devoted Air Force wife, she traveled with her husband, Col (Ret) Richard Brychcy in many places during his Air Force career. She had lived in Perry since 1999.
