Fort Valley, GA- Bennie Lee Moye, 62, died Saturday, July 18, 2015. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, Friday, July 24, 2015, at Oaklawn Cemetery, 720 S. Camellia Blvd. in Fort Valley, with Rev. Paul Chapman officiating.
Born in Fort Valley, Bennie graduated from Fort Valley High School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He then worked at Southern Bell before becoming a master carpenter. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed riding horses.
Survivors include sisters, Geraldine Ledbetter and Bonnie Russo; nephews, Kenny Brown (Christy), Scott Giles (Sherry), Marty Bilich, Bobby Bilich, and Steve Giles; and a niece, Tracy Cagle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wylie and Ruby Moye, brother, Ronnie Moye, and sisters, Judy Moye and Linda Shurley and brother, Barney Shurley, Jr.

Uncle Bennie was a great man. He will be missed by many, never forgotten. He always lit up the room with his big smile and jokes. We love you Uncle Bennie. Shawn, Deanna, Randall, Shelby, Sydney & Riley Giles.

Bennie was a true friend and would do anything he could to help someone. I was friends with him for 50 years.I will always cherish the friendship we had. I wish I could be there, but I live in florida and my prayers are with his family.
