Macon, Georgia- Patsy Brook Chapman Lewis went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2014, at 7:00 AM. Her graduation to Glory will be a Celebration of Life Service at Highpoint Church, 2963 Hollis Road, Macon, Georgia, at 11AM on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014. We hope you can be with us and share your special memory of her life. Burial will be private.
Chaplain Lewis is retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections serving twenty-two years at the Macon Transitional Center (MTC), Prison Ministry for her church, Highpoint. She has done many years of volunteering at MTC, and Demorest Charities at the Federal Prison. She was founder, president and CEO of Hedges and Highways, Inc., doing inner City and Prison Ministry. She was an officer in Women's Aglow and currently serving on the Board of Bethel House Ministry and of Christ the Healer Ministry.
She is survived by her children: Stan Lewis of Washington, DC , Benji and Valorie Lewis of Haddock, Georgia and David and Donna Hamilton of Auburn Alabama; grandchildren: Kelly Garza, Russ Hamilton, Casey Hamilton, Michelle Gibbs, Emily Stecher, Lucy Reyes, Reid Israel and Ashley Young; and by seven great-grandchildren.
Her door was always open to those less fortunate. If she could have one last wish it would be "I am going to Heaven and I want you to go with me".
