Macon , GA- Charles Monroe Grant, 86, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will meet friends on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to service time.
Mr. Grant was born in Montgomery, Alabama to the late C. W. and Carrie Souter Grant. He was retired from the United States Navy serving in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He taught various trades to the disabled while working with the State of Georgia. He was a member of the Ideal Methodist Church and was a Shriner and Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Grant of Macon, two sisters, Elaine Bone of Macon, Dorris Register of Rentz, GA and one niece, three nephews and eight great nieces and nephews.
